I share my favourite thing this week - Audio books

A few months ago I signed up to audible , a website offering audio books that you have to purchase , but every month you get two credits to purchase audio books , I think all of the audio book are worth one credit .

Yesterday I was given my monthly credits and I got a little but excited because i had food poisoning the night before and was still feeling crap , I still feel pretty ill but I'm better :) 

anyways , the free credits where a nice pick me up , here's the audio books I have so far, I have included  the links to the books on the audible website , in case your interested .

Audio books are great for when I travel back and forth to Birmingham , or wherever saves allot of space in my bag .

I wear some make up - FOTD - My everyday face

Hey gorgeous birdies enjoying the weather ? 

Its been a while since I've done a FOTD , and I thought its about time I showed you my everyday face .I've been wearing this look for about a month now , and i guess it all started with one amazing product the L'oreal Super Liner . Whats it like I here you ask ? the review is HERE take a gander .

I tend to keep my lips bare these days ,  accept for a balm such as figs and rouge coca vanilla balm ,  I just don't want to be faffing around reapplying a lipstick etc or being worried it its smudged down my chin .

I share my favourite thing this week ( and last weeks) - Dark gothic nails and great british bake off

I am obsessed with the new nail trend for a/w . Gothic dark nails where all over the cat walks this season , and I'm loving it .

Especially this one from No7 its a very dark blue it  looks black in some lights and it has little blue glitters in it which is totally gorgeous . whats your favourite goth nail colour?

Theirs two favourites this week because I was a lazy bum and did t do one last week (tut tut )

Last weeks was the great British bake off .

The great British bake off is a TV series where the competitor's compete in various stages to eventually the best British baker , and other anazing prizes such .Super exciting and really interesting even if you don't like baking , plus its pretty funny seeing the compete dropping cakes on the floor and just failing miserably at baking but most of the time they produce amazing things which makes  me want to get in the kitchen and bake bake bake bake bake !!

I do a review - No7 Beautifully Matte Make Up Base

I know I had nothing but good things to say about this product when i mentioned it in my weekly favourites but Ive been using it allot more and  found out allot more about it and what it does for my skin etc.

Firstly the packaging is nice and simple but still looks a little special.

The first swatch of the product produced a white cream based product with a beautiful iridescent shimmer , which one applied you don't notice but does brighten up my complexion .

Application is a bit of a faff it dries super super quick on the skin so quick you barely get a chance for you to apply it to other area of your face , it pulls ab it on my skin which was unexpected .

It does have a nice scent  not strong, but strong enough for you you notice , but after Ive applied the rest of my makeup i didn't notice it , its a clean and fresh scent.

I use this after my moisturiser to go underneath my face makeup , this does minimise my pores , and gives a semi matte and smooth flawless appearance .

I love the over all finish this gives to my skin , making it smooth to the touch also , but i did have to perfect the amount applied , too much made my face oily , round my t-zone , also can leave a white  patchy residue on my face , looks a bit like I rubbed tooth paste on my face , not the look I'm after . 

Too little product and its really hard to apply .

So i found the best way to apply this was in two stages , first apply a small amount to my finger tips warmed up up a by rubbing my fingers together and in a stippling motion apply it to my nose and cheek . The secondly applying the same amount onto my forehead etc  in the same stippling motion ensuring all product of invisible. when applied and set , i didnt have any trouble with applying my foundation ontop .
Overall a good product that does what it says on the label , but a little tricky to apply 

what makeup base/primer do you use ?

I paint my nails-NOTD - metal mani - metal caviar

This manicure was slightly by accident I was intending to make it look like my nails where studded , by placing the beads in rows buuuut this happened instead , i call it 'oh my god these beads are so facking fiddly so I'm just going to squidg them on instead manicure :P '

I do really like the outcome but not for day to day may for a night out etc

the beads where purchased HERE for £2.99 + PP you get silver ones also .

The colour i used was the Nails Inc polish in Tate , finished with the Hally Hansen hard as nails clear top coat .

Just dribble over my mulberry bag that is FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE , heehee ! I think this bag is pretty similar to the Daria Hobo bag , but I know its based on another type of bag they did maybe last season hmmmmm I don't really follow mulberry but if anyone knows let me know  .

My mum brought this back from Egypt , and its is really good quality , I am super  impressed with the fake leather and just the all round fakeness of this bag :P 

Personally I love looking at "Whats in my bag" post's and videos, and I've been wanting to do one for a while sooooo here's your chance to have a nose around my bag.

You may be thinking wheres your phone ? , well as soon as i decided i wanted to do this post it ran away , it nothing special so don't be too disappointed , my purse is probably worth more than my phone , but at least i wont get mugged for my phone :p 

How lucky are you two whats in my bag in one post , this is a whats in my everyday makeup bag .My makeup bag its from Cats eye which is owned by the company Jellycat , they sell these in John Lewis , but 
this one is no longer available . This is the guinea pig face small cosmetics bag and its super super cute and i love it to bits mainly because it have a guinea pig on it , and that it still looks brand new and lovely and clean even though its about 2 years old !

I show you how - DIY chalk board mug

 

  Hello birdies ! 

Hope your all having a lovely Monday 

today is another DIY and as always its super duperly easy , this is perfect for a Christmas gift , or a last minute birthday gift .

I know I'm planning on giving away a few of these at Christmas , this DIY is very kind on your bank account , and no need to go spending loads on supplies , yay for being kind to bank accounts ! 

You will need 

• Plain mug , ( can be any colour but white looks best)
• Tape ( any tape that can be removed easily)
• Chalk board paint
• Old paint brush
• Chalk ( obviously) 
• Ribbon

Directions

1.First make sure your cup is clean from any dirt etc , now tape on the mug where you don't want paint , this is to protect these areas from unwanted paint.

2. Paint on your design onto your mug , I did a simple yet elegant scalloped design all the way round the mug , but you can do any design you want , let your mind go wild! . You can draw on the design with a pen if this helps . make sure the paint isn't applied too thickly , because you will be adding another layer.

3.Leave for  1 hour until paint had dried completely , then paint another layer to make the paint completely opaque.

4. When the paint has dried remove the tape and tie the piece of chalk to the handle of the mug with a ribbon.

Mug was purchased from a home wares store for only £1.60 , but look around car boots and charity shops for the best deals.

Paint was from Hobby draft at £1.99 for a small bottle .
