I Make A Change - DIY Ombre and life rambelings

Hello beauties .
This week hasn't been a very good week for me and the family , my one and only nanny is very ill in hospital and wont be lasting the night . I am  very close to my nanny and I'm feeling a bit lost at the moment , and cant really imagine not seeing her again , the thought just makes me feel numb like my body doesn't actually recognise the feeling of not being able to see her again , and i cant come to terms with how I feel, or even the thought of not seeing her , talking to her , hugging her again doesn't seem like my own thoughts.
She is currently in the hospital holding on like the trooper she is .
I will keep blogging just to keep myself busy .
Moving onto what I'm sure you came here to read about.
About a week or so ago i plucked up the courage to try out loreals wild ombre hair dye kit , i have been eyeing this up since before Xmas and have loved the idea if having lovely swishy ombred hair because i knew it would suit me and i knew i would love it sooo it was a dun deal pretty much as soon as it kit the shelves .But i had been putting it off simply because I haven't died my hair before and was being a bit of a wimp , and all i needed was a little push in the form of the loreal wild ombre kit being £5.99 in sainsburys.
so here are the results of thus dye.
Well what do you think , it was super easy and completely idiot proof to follow , make note people I have never died my hair before . As you can see in the images it is a little yellow but this isn't that case at all now , its faded a bit and looks way more effective and just all round awesome.
The range consist of three shades for different coloured hair , ombre 1 for light to dark brown hair ombre 2 for dark blonde to medium brown hair , and ombre 3 for blond to dark blonde hair.
I used shade 2 for dark blond to medium brown hair, it seemed like the most suitable for my hair .
It did thought make my hair feel very stiff and dry when I was washing the dye out which scared me a little so I just slathered on a load of Aussie 3 minute miracle treatment and my hair was lovely and shiny after I finished blow drying .

have you tried l'oreals wild ombre hair colour?

P.S Before I could finish this post my nanny pasted away at 6pm .

I introduce you to some people - Robyn Make things and the other half

Lets all take a moment and think how awesome this lady is at illustration
I first bumped into Robyn from a review ashllyd did of Robyn's work and instantly wanted to get in contact with her .
I contacted  Robyn at robynmakesthings, like a excited loon , and requested she did a portrait of me and my boyfriend , she was super easy to contact and super lovely .
She is super sweet and wasn't taken back at all when I told her I didn't have any proper pictures of me and martin together , and she was totally cool with it and created this amazing portrait of us two out of the rubbishy pictures I gave her to work from . Shes superwoman you know?
I gifted this to Martin on valentines after popping it into a frame to make extra special .
I love how simple the illustration is too , I really cannot say how awesome this is its every where my background image , and on my desk at work .
What are you waiting for go check out !

Disclaimer: Robyn kindly did this illustration free of charge . All reviews i give are 100% my own opinion and have not been influenced by others in anyway .

I do a review - my favourite day and night time mascaras YSL shocking and Rimmel Lash Accelerator

Ayop! lovely birdies I've been really ill with a viral flue since last Saturday lately and been itching to blog and i finally feel well enough to sit at me desk and type away for you lovelies.
Everyone has a look for night and day I'm sure and these are my two favourite mascaras for night and day , and my thoughts enjoy !

Firstly is the all famous YSL shocking mascara . This is so raved about it makes me sick it really does , but now I can see why.
After staring at it for half and hour I eventually teared open the packaging  . Firstly I will say that this mascara isn't for everyone if you love the spiky doll like lashes then this if for you . As you can see the packaging's is gorgeous super luxurious and SHINEEEEEEEEY!!!!

 YSL shocking mascara

I did find the formula  to be quite wet and felt heavy on my lashes and  sometimes clumpy , but the effect is oh so fabulous once you work at it for a bit ,leaving  me with lovely long dramatic lashes . This is a perfect all night mascara and doesn't smudge at all . I am still debating weather i like the applicator its a odd one this , it has long spikes on one side short on the other , but i figured that the short was to add volume the long to add length so twisting the wand halfway was the best way  , I've never had to work so hard to put mascara on!. You really do have to work with this mascara as it can some out very clumpy on your lashes NOT GOOD PEOPLE! .
The price is something to complain about though £23 ..........really YSL!!...it is a bit silly but not silly enough to stop me from buying it . You can save your self a few pennies by buying it from feelunique , and I think you are paying for the brand and the packaging , but I don't regret buying it and I know I will get allot of use out of it and will enjoy having such a beauty in my collection.

This mascara is the total opposite to YSL shocking , it is one of the latest mascaras from Rimmel called Lash Accelerator.
I have been using this for a while now and love it and can see myself repurchasing.
I love the bristle brush , and that its quite thin and small so you can really get into the corner and the bottom of the lashes without getting it all over your brows , derp!
It defiantly makes my lashes longer and the formula is quick drying which is a bonus when I'm rushing out the door for work. This mascara does however smudge quite a bit on me but i will let it go since i am very prone to smudging (boo hoo ) .
I love love love the green detailing on this products packaging other than that its pretty standard.I picked this up for a pinch at £5.99 from boots when it was on offer , I think its around £7.99 now but that's pretty standard for most drug store mascaras these days.
I love how long it makes my lashes whilst still keeping them looking natural , and the applicator is a dream over all love this and will defiantly repurchase in the future ,

What are your favourite day/night products ?

I share with you whats new and a FOTD

Hope your all enjoying the beautiful snow birdies , I've been snuggled up on the sofa watching films and being lazy , i love love love love this type of weather  . Whats  the snow Like where you are ?
Now allot had happened since November 2012 , and since my long absence so I thought  would fill you in with whats happened . Allot of things have changed for the good and for the better , had some amazing time and sometimes where i just want to give up on life, allot of which I don't think i will never mention to anyone ! So here's the latter of it.
  • Rather out of the blue, I snagged myself a job at a solar panel installation company, as a business administrator . I hate it , lets leave it at that!
  • Christmas came and went . it was spent in Birmingham with the boyfriend , although it was amazing seeing him and spending lots of time together , which we don't get to do , i do regret not spending that much time with my family over this period.
  • Rosie the family companion ( i feel weird calling her a dog) starts to act her age and goes a bit down hill , at one point we was going to put her to sleep simply because she didn't seem happy with living anymore , but as if she knew she perked up and is her cheeky self again but is still slow and a bit stiff and smelly as all oldies are .
  • Give myself a fashion kick in the butt and force myself out of my comfort zone which is a dress leggings every.single.day . I  Felt so left out seeing all the pretty peter pan tops , and chiffon shirts , and thinking i cant wear that!!! Something clicked and I thought enough was enough I am 19 GOD DAMN IT and missing out of all these awesome clothes!! so now I've started wearing skater skirts and jumpers and tights, lets say its making me beam with confidence, and feel awesome.
  • Seems silly to put this on here , but it was a special moment for me . Purchased my first pair of top shop boots :p , was almost crying when i paid for them because of the price, but they where worth it !!
  • Another special moment was my first experience in a MAC store , it was special for about 10 Min's when I was choosing my lipstick , but the rest if the time i was being sneered at and looked at by snooty MAC worshippers , I'm talking about the staff , not very helpful or friendly , maybe next time will be better .
  • We lost one of out guinea pigs Marley a few days back , he was so cheeky and a very handsome boy.
  • Lastly if you havent already noticed I have a full fringe !

ON another note this is my face today , I've been experimenting allot more with colour , as I've been stuck in the liquid eye liner and thick mascara for too long !!!
What I'm wearing

Benefit Boing concealer
Topshop Creme blush in head over heels

I share my favourite thing this week - Audio books

A few months ago I signed up to audible , a website offering audio books that you have to purchase , but every month you get two credits to purchase audio books , I think all of the audio book are worth one credit .
Yesterday I was given my monthly credits and I got a little but excited because i had food poisoning the night before and was still feeling crap , I still feel pretty ill but I'm better :)
anyways , the free credits where a nice pick me up , here's the audio books I have so far, I have included  the links to the books on the audible website , in case your interested .
Audio books are great for when I travel back and forth to Birmingham , or wherever saves allot of space in my bag .
